The purpose of the gathering is for all those who participated in 1974 Cyprus conflict to meet once again.

We will be honoured with the presence of Mr. Jean and Mrs. Gertrude Berger, the parents of Jean-Claude Berger who was killed on 10 Sept 1974 in Cyprus. Mrs. Gertrude Berger will be receiving the Doug Hammersjold on the UN day ceremony to be held on 19 October at the Canadian Peacekeeping monument in Ottawa. We are trying to contact the family of Gilbert Perron who was killed on 6 Aug 1974. We wish to include them in this event but up to now we have been unsuccessful.

Health permitting, we may have joining us, Mr Alex Bandzierz , Pl Comdr, who was with the Polish Airborne Brigade which jumped at Arnhem in Sept 44. He is one of the 2000 allied survivors of that fateful jump.

All members of the Airborne Brotherhood are encouraged to attend the gathering and the UN Ceremony the following day.
