Memorial Service

The memorial service for Sgt. Robert Short and Cpl. Robbie Beerenfenger will be at the Pembroke Memorial Center on Tues 7 Oct at 1200hrs.

    We as an Airborne family have lost another good Trooper. Rob Short always had a smile, and never uttered an ill word towards anyone who came in contact with him. I first met Rob in Bosnia in 96. He spoke of wearing the Maroon Beret with such ambition, it reminded me of the old days. I can honestly say after the tears have been shed. I will never forget the man I knew as ” SHORTY THE WANNABE SAPPER”

    I considered Rob a friend and will miss him. We served in Gagetown, Petawawa and Bosnia together as well as doing our ISCC together. He always was there when anyone needed a hand or a smile. Soft Landings Brother!…..Cole
