The future of

The forums here are fairly quiet these days and the front page of the website has turned into a death watch. Everyone has moved on to the Facebook groups which are easier to use and more interactive.

Because of this, I am thinking about winding down parts of the site. I will not be closing the site.

An initial, off the top of my head plan, would be to keep all the photos, stories, badges, etc., but delete the forums and change the front page of the site to give a brief history of the regiment and maybe link to the Facebook groups and other Airborne websites. All of the posts will still be available, just not on the front page of the site.

Before I do this, I want to reach out to readers of the site and get your opinions. If you have ideas, please comment below.

    Hi Rob,
    Unfortunately you are correct Rob.
This site was once a very active place, people came and touched bases with old friends and made new ones. We also had a few hosers. One in particular was a very active contributor.
I like your idea for the front page, Regimental History is important to us all and should be presented for all to see.
Rob thank you for keeping the site up and running

Agreed. Times have changed and you’re right, people have moved to FB. I also support your idea for the “new look” website. Thanks for all the hours you’ve put into the site, it is much appreciated.

You’ve done a great job on this site and I would hate to see it close down completely. You ideas are valid. I know I pop back here fairly regularly to see what’s been happening. I would also echo a thanks for all the hard work that you’ve put into the site. AATW

As old soldiers, we are growing more mature each day of our lives…that being said! This website is a lifeline to so many of the soldiers, who died on past campaigns ..may it (this website) never die …regardless!!!
