Another Sea King Crash

This isn't exactly related to the Airborne, but another Sea King helicopter has crashed. This is of interest for two reasons. First, it shows the current governments total lack of regard for our military. The military has been trying to get the Sea Kings replaced for about 20 years now because they are dangerous and require 30 hours of maintenence for every hour in the air, but the Liberal government cancelled the purchase of new helicopters nearly a decade ago and still haven't replaced them.

On a more personal note, Jame's Henderson's (a former member of 3 Cdo) dad was a major force behind trying to get the Sea Kings replaced. He had survived several Sea King crashes only to be killed in one soon after the Liberals cancelled the contracts. The members of our armed forces make huge sacrifices for our country, let's not forget that when the next election comes up and we remember the support that our government has given us in return.

It is a shame when something like this is not unexpected news. Hopefully the airmen were not injured too badly and will recover soon.

I must say that the liberal goverment is starting to lose its grip in my mind over the welfare and control of the goverment. I just hope that the next party in power will respect the courage of our armed forces and give proper amounts of funding. My prays go out to the familys of those injured in the crash.

Governement must learn to respect his Armed Forces and to think to the well being of the troops, not to the money in there wallet.

Huah !

Dear Brothers,

My heart is with you all, from your brothers in the 75th Ranger's Regiment. In our times we have seen the degregation of the Canadian Military Forces. I feel the utter pain of knowing that the Government of Canada has neglected our brothers in arms. In the event of war, we will stand side by side as we once did to fight a common evil. My love to the Canadian Armed Forces, and remember it is not your fault, unless you did not vote. Well I just wanted to let you know you are not alone in your quest to protect the children of the Airborne. God Bless You, God Bless Canada, and God Bless America.

My prayers goes with the airmans of this Seaking. It's hard to believe that these helicoptere are still in service. I'm with 438 Squadron in St_Hubert QC our pilotes have long to say about the governement decision to cancel the bell helicoptere contract. God bless us all.

Airborne All The Way.
